In 2020 the building had the roof removed due to hail damage and replaced with new materials. Hopefully, this will be it for a while as the cost was $77,226.42.
Gordon Buckner Building
We would like to honor one of Saline County’s biggest donors to the Society. Gordon purchased this building and we hope he would enjoy where we are going.
It will take the community to get behind the Society to create a museum that can show off Saline County’s best.

After moving to the temporary location, we started sorting.
Established in 1938, the constitution and bylaws have been updated several times and this time will include the digital age.
Hoping to expand our information about geneology in the area, we are creating a searchable document.
